Then when an unexpected kiss leads to a frightening argument, Camelia makes the painful decision to let Ben go and move on. Adam, the hot new guy at work, seems good for her in ways Ben wasn’t. Adam is easygoing, and seems to really care about her.
But when Camelia and Adam start dating, a surprising love triangle results. A chilling sequence of events upturns secrets from Ben’s past–and Adam’s. Someone is lying, and it’s up to Camelia to figure out who-before it’s too late.
My Thoughts: This series is quickly becoming my “guilty pleasure” series. It’s the series that as soon as I get a new one, I drop everything, plop down in a chair, and read it from start to finish right then. It’s also the book that I never get rid of and pick up again and again every time I don’t have something else sitting right there.
That said, the series does have its faults. For one, the secondary characters are never fully developed. Their problems are introduced but usually seem to be forgotten within the next couple of chapters without being solved.
But those things are easy to look past. The relationship between Camelia and Ben is always so intense and always keeps you guessing. I can never figure out where those two are going. The introduction of another certain male character had a major twist to the plot. Unlike Deadly Little Secrets, DLL was anything but predictable. I was guessing and second-guessing myself right up until the very last page.
Deadly Little Lies is a great continuation of the Touch series. It’s compelling, mysterious, and a book you won’t be able to put down. I highly recommend this one!
(P.S. I’d LOVE to see a movie/TV show made out of this series…does anyone else agree?)
